Perimenopausal syndrome is a series of symptoms caused by decreased levels of steroid hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, characterized by dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system and accompanying neuropsychological symptoms. It seriously affects women's physical and mental health and quality of life. Building a cell model in vitro is one of the effective methods for studying PMS. By analyzing and studying the cell model of this disease, we provide direction for the treatment of the disease.
This article reviews the research progress of applying cell models to PMS by searching relevant literature on cell model application in PubMed, EMbase, and Web of Science databases in recent years. By summarizing and systematically analyzing the methods, evaluation indicators, and model characteristics of PMS cell model establishment, this article aims to provide reference and ideas for the rational construction and in-depth research of PMS cell models.
