Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death in women, with 75% of ovarian cancer patients diagnosed as advanced. Currently, there is a lack of effective early screening methods for this disease, and the clinical treatment effect is poor, which has become a serious threat to women's health. Conducting relevant research using ovarian cancer animal models is an important means to clarify its pathogenesis or screen for effective diagnosis and treatment measures, According to the classification of preparation methods, the disease model is mainly divided into four types of modeling methods: spontaneous, induced, transplant, and gene intervention. The animals selected for this model mainly include mice, rats, chickens, field mice, and long clawed gerbils. This article reviews the preparation methods of ovarian cancer animal models based on recent literature reports, and introduces the evaluation criteria and main characteristics of animal models prepared by various methods
