1. Modeling material animals: rats, male or female not limited; Medications: pentobarbital, iodine, antibiotics.
2. Modelling method The animals were anesthetized and placed in supine position with abdominal incision. After the left renal artery was carefully and passively separated from the left renal hilum, a line was crossed under it. According to the thickness of the renal artery, thin lines of different numbers (or 0.2~0.3mm acupuncture and moxibustion needles) were selected and placed on it according to the circular direction of the blood vessels. Then the horizontal lines were knotted. After ligation, the thin lines or acupuncture and moxibustion needles were drawn out to suture the abdominal incision and sterilized with iodine. If one renal artery is narrowed, the other kidney should be removed after an interval of 10-12 days. After surgery, antibiotics are injected to prevent infection.
3. The modeling principle is that one side of the kidney is resected, and the other side of the kidney is ischemic due to narrowing the renal artery on that side with a silver clip, so the increase in blood pressure is mainly due to sodium and water retention, activation of renin-angiotensin system, and increased sympathetic nerve activity.
4. Changes after modeling: If the blood pressure of the animal gradually increases after surgery, and one week after surgery, the blood pressure rises by more than 4kPa and exceeds 17kPa compared to before surgery, it is considered a model animal.
