(1) Method of replication: Adult mice were stimulated with cigarette smoke at a dose of 2 cigarettes per 10 mice. The lit cigarettes were fixed in a transparent glass bell jar, and the model mice were placed in it twice a day for 12 minutes each time for 15 consecutive days. Observe changes in the general condition, body weight, immune organs and lungs of animals, ammonia induced cough, swimming time, lethal viral infections, microcirculation, and lung pathological morphology.
(2) The characteristics of the model are that after modeling, animals generally experience respiratory weakness, slow response, mental depression, loose and less shiny body hair, significant decrease in body weight, thymus index, spleen index, and significant increase in lung index; Stimulating cough with ammonia water shows an increase in cough frequency; The swimming time has significantly shortened; The mortality rate of lethal viral infections has significantly increased, and the average survival days have significantly shortened; The phagocytic function of peritoneal macrophages is significantly weakened; The diameter of arterioles has significantly decreased, blood flow velocity has significantly slowed down, and the number of capillaries has significantly decreased; Pathological examination shows shedding of epithelial cells in the trachea and bronchi, reduction of cilia, enlargement of glands, dilation of ducts, proliferation of goblet cells, infiltration of inflammatory cells in the walls and interstitium of the trachea and bronchi, and dilation of blood vessels in the walls.
(3) The relevant changes in the animal model of comparative medicine are consistent with the clinical symptoms of lung qi deficiency patients. This method has the advantages of simplicity, ease of operation, fast onset of deficiency, and good repeatability. Models can also be classified as animal models of lung qi deficiency and chronic bronchitis of lung qi deficiency type.
