　　On November 30, 2024, the strategic seminar on "Bottom level Innovation and Core Technology Research of High end Scientific Instruments" was held in Beijing. This seminar is hosted by the Interdisciplinary Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Academician Wu Lizhu, Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Fu Xuefeng, Deputy Director of the Interdisciplinary Science Department, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference.

　　Vice Director Wu Lizhu pointed out in her speech that high-end scientific instruments are fundamental tools supporting technological innovation and typical representatives of new quality production tools. I hope that through this strategic seminar, we can deeply explore the opportunities and challenges faced by China's independent research and development of high-end scientific instruments, further improve the content of the special motion for key research and development of high-end scientific instruments, promote China's independent research and development of high-end scientific instruments from passive imitation to active leadership, and achieve the early use of China's independent research platforms and instruments to solve major basic research problems.

　　More than 50 experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises, including Academician Cheng Heping, Academician Dai Qionghai, and Academician Tan Jiubin, participated in this seminar. The attending experts discussed and exchanged ideas on the difficulties and opportunities in instrument development, innovation chain construction, interdisciplinary cooperation, implementation methods of key special projects, construction of instrument sharing platforms, industrialization of high-end scientific instruments, and enterprise needs.
