On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in China, the Chemical Science Department and Interdisciplinary Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, under the guidance of Deputy Director Wu Lizhu, jointly launched an online "30 Years of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in China" special issue with Angewandte Chemie. The special issue includes representative scientific research achievements published by some recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation projects on Angewandte Chemie. The content of the papers not only covers the forefront of chemical research, but also extends to emerging fields such as chemistry, life, medicine, and information, demonstrating the vigorous development of chemical research and the enormous potential and broad prospects of the integration of chemistry with other disciplines.
