There are two executive deans, Qing Chenglin from Renmin University of China and Guo Fang from West Lake University are two young doctoral students. West Lake University said that such an arrangement is exactly the word "future". The institute takes young students as the main body and encourages young people around the world to carry out "future previews" to form ideological achievements like "academic theory science fiction film", reflecting the distinctive characteristics of youth-led, interdisciplinary, innovative imagination, scientific prediction, and global co-research.

At the conference, Shi Yigong, President of West Lake University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, repeatedly emphasized the infinite power of imagination and emphasized that imagination requires a world of free growth. He hopes that through the two schools, he will work together to break through the traditional framework, integrate global resources, establish a cross-field dialogue mechanism, and build a platform integrating research, exchange and popular science to protect the younger generation from their imagination, "Let the younger generation dare to think about things that others have not thought about and dare to walk the path that others have not walked."

Public information shows that Qing Chenglin graduated from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University with undergraduate degree and majored in chemical engineering and technology. He served as the chairman of the school’s student union. In 2021, he went to Renmin University of China to pursue a master’s degree in analytical chemistry with the first major in majoring. Later, he served as the director of the Youth Teachers’ Work Department of the Youth League Committee of Renmin University of China and the executive chairman of the graduate student union.

Another executive dean, Guo Fang, a 2021 doctoral student at West Lake University, is also a post-90s. According to West Lake University, in 2010, Guo Fang graduated from Hangzhou Foreign Language School and became an undergraduate student in mathematics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). At the end of 2014, after Guo Fang graduated from undergraduate studies and returned to China, he joined the entrepreneurship army. Because he loves sports and fitness, he and his partners start a strengthened "gap year" entrepreneurial story based on sports snack e-commerce. "Although the company can make money, it cannot lead me and let me go further." In 2017, Guo Fang returned to UIUC for graduate school, and then entered West Lake University in 2021. Under the joint cross-training of two PI Zhang Yue and Li Ling of the two PIs of the School of Engineering, he will apply natural language processing and data mining technologies to the fields of environmental science, biomedicine and agriculture.
