　　Notice on the Review Results of the National Natural Science Foundation for Centralized Receiving Application Projects in 2025

　　During the 2025 National Natural Science Foundation of China application for centralized acceptance, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as the National Natural Science Foundation of China) received a total of 433,426 project applications, and a total of 432,434 projects were accepted after preliminary review and re-examination. According to the "National Natural Science Foundation Regulations", the National Natural Science Foundation related project management measures and expert review opinions, after approval by the Commission of the Natural Science Foundation of China, a total of 53,159 projects in 10 categories, including projects, youth science fund projects (Category A, B, C), regional science fund projects, key projects, innovation research group projects, key international (regional) cooperative research projects, foreign scholar research fund projects and cooperative innovation research team projects, a total of 53,159 projects in 10 categories. Other types of items received during centralized reception are in the process of review or approval.

　　Relying on the scientific fund managers and applicants of the unit can log in to the Science Fund Network Information System (https://grants.nsfc.gov.cn) after August 27 to check the relevant application project review results. The National Science Foundation of China will use the report@pro.nsfc.gov.cn email address to the applicant from August 27 to 29 to send the application project approval funding notice, the notice of non-funding and expert review opinions. Subsequently, a notice of paper project funding results will be sent to the relevant supporting units, and a list of funding projects and a list of non-funded projects will be attached.

　　If an applicant who has not received funding has objections to the decision not to fund, he or she may submit an application for review of the project not to funding to the Natural Science Foundation of China. For details of relevant precautions, please refer to the attachment.

　　All supporting units and scientific researchers are welcome to put forward opinions and suggestions on the review of the National Natural Science Foundation of China project.

　　2025 National Natural Science Foundation of China will not fund projects

Things to note when reviewing

　　According to the "Regulations on the Re-examination of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Projects" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures", please refer to the "Policies and Regulations" column on the homepage of the official website of the National Natural Science Foundation of China), if an applicant has objection to the decision not to fund, he may submit an application for re-examination of the project not to fund. The relevant precautions are as follows.

　　1. Submit an application for re-examination

　　1. The acceptance of the application for re-examination of projects will start on August 27 and end at 16:00 on September 15.

　　2. Applicants for re-examination of projects that are not funded shall log in to the Science Fund Network Information System (hereinafter referred to as the information system, https://grants.nsfc.gov.cn), and fill out the re-examination application form for re-examination of projects that are not funded online. If you forget your login username and password, you can ask your unit's scientific research management department.

　　3. The applicant for re-examination of projects will not be given a subsidized project to print a review application form, confirm that the content of the paper and electronic review application form is consistent, and after signing the paper review application form, it will be sent by express delivery (the date of postmark shall prevail).

　　2. Accept the application for re-examination

　　The project management departments of the National Science Foundation of China are responsible for accepting the re-examination application. Please note that a review application with one of the following circumstances listed in Article 8 of the Measures will not be accepted:

　　(1) Non-project applicants submit a review application;

　　(2) If the time for submitting a review application exceeds the specified deadline;

　　(III) The content or procedures for the review application are incomplete;

　　(IV) Those who have different opinions on academic judgments such as the review opinions of the review experts.

　　For re-examination applications that are not accepted, the project management department shall inform the applicant of the re-examination decision and reason for re-examination.

　　3. Review and review application

　　1. The project management departments of the National Science Foundation of China are responsible for accepting and reviewing applications. The basis for review is the "Measures", the Management Measures for Related Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the "2024 National Natural Science Foundation Project Guidelines".

　　2. The relevant project management departments of the National Science Foundation of China will notify the applicant in writing of the review results before November 6.

　　3. Relying on the scientific research management department of the unit, the information system can view the submission status and processing results of the review application of the unit's review applicant at any time.

　　The re-examination of non-subsidized projects accepted during non-centralized reception period shall be carried out in accordance with the above procedures.

　　How do you know if you have been beaten?

　　After the review results are announced, based on the time that can be queried in the past, there are three ways to check whether the project has passed the review:

　　(1) Relying on the management of the unit, the management personnel can query the project approval list in the Science Foundation Network Information System (https://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn).

　　(2) Email notification: Whether you win or not, NSFC will send you a notification email (notification of application for project approval, notification of non-funding, and expert review opinions). After receiving the notification email, you can log in to the system through your personal account to check the details of the project review results.

　　Step 2: Click "Readed":

　　Step 3: Click "Apply for General Science Project" in the new interface:

　　Step 4: Launch international (regional) cooperation and exchange projects - select the second (cooperation and exchange), click "Fill in the application" in Cooperation and Exchange:

　　Step 5: Choose any cooperation agreement in the new interface, and you will see "Please select the fund project you want to rely on". If you don't receive funding, there will be nothing in the "Fund Project" column.
