[Animal modeling] - Atherosclerosis model induced by catechol drugs

  1. Animal modeling material: Rabbit, regardless of gender; Medication: Norepinephrine.

  2. Method of modeling: Animals were injected with 1mg/d of norepinephrine intravenously for 30 minutes. Or drip for 15 minutes first,

Rest for 5 minutes and then drip for another 15 minutes. Or drip for 5 minutes each time and rest for 5 minutes, repeating 6 times. Lasting for two weeks.

  3. Modeling principle: Catechol drugs cause atherosclerosis in animals.

  4. Changes after modeling: After modeling, the animal's aorta showed lesions, showing elongation, splitting, or rupture of elastic fibers in the middle layer of the vascular wall, and necrosis and calcification in the lesions.
