[Animal modeling] - alcohol induced chronic liver injury model

  1. Animal modeling materials: Rats, weighing 200-250g, regardless of gender; Medication: 50% alcohol.

  2. Moulding method: Administer 50% alcohol twice a day by gavage, and feed with alcoholic beverages for 14 consecutive weeks.

  3. Principle of modeling: Alcohol causes chronic liver damage.

  4. Changes after modeling: The animals in the modeling group developed fatty liver, with over 90% developing alcoholic hepatitis. Some rats showed reactive proliferation of the liver interstitium.
